A recent Gallup poll found that 28% of Americans consider immigration as the most pressing issue facing the country. Over half of the survey participants believe that illegal immigration poses a critical threat to the nation’s interests. Republicans are driving the increase in concern about immigration. The poll surveyed 1,016 adults and was conducted via telephone from February 1st through February 20th.
