WASHINGTON, D.C. — A new Yahoo/YouGov poll finds that more Americans say global music star Bad Bunny better represents the United States than President Donald Trump following the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The survey of more than 1,700 U.S. adults, conducted Feb. 9–12, asked respondents about Bad Bunny’s performance and message. Thirty percent of those who watched the Super Bowl said they liked the halftime show, compared to 8 percent who said they disliked it. When asked about the artist performing entirely in Spanish, 31 percent approved and 11 percent disapproved.

Sixty percent of respondents said they approved of Bad Bunny’s message of unity, which emphasized immigrant pride and belonging in America. Only 16 percent said they disapproved. When asked who better represents America, 42 percent chose Bad Bunny, while 39 percent selected Trump.

Trump criticized the halftime show on Truth Social, calling it “absolutely terrible.” The performance drew about 128.2 million average U.S. viewers, ranking among the most-watched halftime shows in history.

The poll results add a cultural dimension to ongoing political divisions, as debates over immigration and national identity remain central to the 2026 election cycle.
