Tonka Bay, Minnesota — Public records show MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell owed nearly $48,000 in property taxes on his primary residence as he campaigns for Minnesota governor.

The Minnesota Reformer reported that Hennepin County records listed $32,355 in delinquent 2025 taxes on Lindell’s Tonka Bay home, which has an estimated value of $2.5 million. Records also showed $15,968 owed for the first half of 2026, including a $1,318 penalty.

Lindell told the Reformer by phone that checks covering the overdue taxes “went out” and said the back taxes were paid on July 1. Asked why the payments were late, Lindell said money had been tight and compared his situation to other Minnesotans.

The property is owned by Prior Lake 40 Acres LLC, according to county records cited by the Reformer. Lindell is listed as the LLC’s manager in Minnesota Secretary of State business records.

Lindell is seeking the Republican nomination for governor against candidates including House Speaker Lisa Demuth and Kendall Qualls. The Associated Press reported in December that Lindell entered the race while facing financial and legal pressure tied to his promotion of false 2020 election claims.
