WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump said Friday that the U.S. military campaign against Iran will end when he personally believes the mission is complete, stating he will know the moment “when I feel it in my bones.”

Trump made the remark during an interview on Fox News host Brian Kilmeade’s podcast “The Brian Kilmeade Show,” nearly two weeks after the United States and Israel launched coordinated military strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure. When asked how he would determine when the conflict is over, Trump responded that the decision would come down to his own judgment.

“When it’s over — and I don’t think it’s going to be long — when it’s over, this is going to bounce back so fast,” Trump said, referring to regional stability and U.S. interests in the Middle East.

Trump also praised several top administration officials involved in the operation, including Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance, saying he has “a great group” managing the conflict.

The president has offered varying timelines for the operation. Shortly after the initial strikes, he said the campaign could last four to five weeks or longer. In more recent comments, however, Trump suggested the effort may conclude sooner, telling Axios earlier this week that the United States is “way ahead of the timetable.”

Regional governments across the Gulf have called for the conflict to end after facing retaliatory attacks from Iran, while analysts say tensions remain high despite growing pressure for de-escalation.
