Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned of “irreparable damage” if the United States intervenes militarily, rejecting President Donald Trump‘s call for “unconditional surrender.” In a televised address, Khamenei vowed Iran would not submit to threats or an “imposed peace,” referencing Trump’s Truth Social posts that taunted the Iranian leader and signaled possible U.S. strikes.
“The Iranian nation will not surrender… any U.S. military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage,” Khamenei said.
Other Iranian officials echoed his warnings. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson called intervention a “recipe for all-out war,” and its U.N. ambassador labeled Trump’s language “hostile.” Iran maintains it would respond to any action, with threats against U.S. bases in the Middle East.
Trump, after meeting with national security leaders, posted: “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding… We are not going to take him out—at least not for now.”
With U.S. military assets repositioned and Israeli coordination ongoing, reports suggest Trump may soon authorize limited strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
