Conservative commentator Candace Owens said Tuesday she feels “embarrassed” for supporting President Donald Trump during the 2024 campaign, citing his recent decision to launch airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. “He’s been a chronic disappointment,” Owens said on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “I feel embarrassed that I told people to go vote for him.”

Owens criticized Trump’s decision to strike Iran, attributing it to Israeli influence. “This was not Trump’s decision; it was [Benjamin] Netanyahu’s,” she said, accusing Israel of “dictating our foreign policy.”

The U.S. bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities using B-2 bombers over the weekend, joining Israel in escalating military pressure on Tehran. Owens argued there was “no imminent threat” and questioned the justification for the strikes.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reportedly told lawmakers that Iran was not close to obtaining a nuclear weapon, contradicting Trump’s insistence. “I don’t care what she said,” Trump told reporters. “I think they were very close.”

The remarks mark a significant break between Owens and Trump after years of public support.
