CNN’s just-launched direct-to-consumer streaming service CNN+ is shutting down, a person with knowledge of the matter said.
An announcement is expected as early as Thursday, the person said.
Incoming CNN Chairman and Chief Executive Chris Licht, who hasn’t even officially assumed his role yet, told staffers of the decision on Thursday morning, the person said.
Rew Morse, the executive in charge of the service, is leaving the company, the person said.
