The White House will host a first-of-its-kind cryptocurrency summit on March 7, bringing together top industry leaders, including founders, CEOs, and investors, alongside members of President Trump’s Working Group on Digital Assets.
The summit will be chaired by David Sacks, Trump’s A.I. & Crypto Czar, and administered by Executive Director Bo Hines, according to a Friday announcement from the Office of Communications.
One of Trump’s first executive orders in his second term pledged to “support the responsible growth and use of digital assets”, with the president aiming to make the U.S. the “crypto-capital” of the world.
The Trump family has actively embraced cryptocurrency ventures, with Eric Trump delivering a keynote at Bitcoin Mena 2024 in Abu Dhabi and Trump himself speaking at Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville.
Vice President J.D. Vance is set to address Andreessen Horowitz’s American Dynamism Summit next month, reinforcing the Republican Party’s increasing influence in the crypto sector.
The summit will focus on establishing a clear regulatory framework while protecting economic liberty, the White House said.
