The White House unveiled a new official portrait of President Trump on Monday, replacing the earlier version released by his presidential transition office in January 2025. The updated image features Trump in his signature red tie, standing against a black background, with pronounced shadows on his face.
In contrast, the January portrait displayed Trump with a blue tie, smiling in front of an American flag and brightly lit. The White House shared the new version in a brief video but did not provide a reason for the update or confirm if it will replace existing portraits in federal buildings.
The updated portrait now appears on the White House website. Trump’s first-term photo, widely displayed in government offices, showed him grinning confidently before an American flag backdrop.
