Vice President Kamala Harris is set to blame former President Trump for the fall of Roe v. Wade on Monday, marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that overturned federal abortion rights. Harris will attend a campaign event in Maryland on the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, which returned the abortion issue to state control.

“The Vice President will remind voters that Donald Trump is responsible for overturning Roe and the chaos that has followed,” the Biden-Harris campaign stated, highlighting the potential threat to reproductive freedoms from a second Trump presidency.

Harris has been a prominent advocate for reproductive rights, touring the country to support abortion access since Roe’s overturn. She launched the “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour in January, addressing states enacting restrictive abortion laws.

In her speeches, Harris frequently attributes restrictive abortion laws to Trump, accusing him of “gaslighting” on the issue and warning against his potential re-election.
