Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) urged for increased school security following a school shooting in Georgia that left four dead. Speaking at a Phoenix rally, Vance said, “We’ve got to bolster security at our schools” to prevent further tragedies, emphasizing that restricted gun access wouldn’t stop attacks.
The comments followed a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga., where a 14-year-old suspect was charged with four counts of felony murder. Vice President Kamala Harris called the incident a “senseless tragedy,” advocating for stronger gun control.
