Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene was ridiculed on the New York Post’s cover for opposing U.S. aid to Ukraine. The cover, featuring Greene in a Russian hat with the headline “Nyet, Moscow Marjorie,” went viral on X.
The Post, once Trump’s “favorite newspaper,” has often reported favorably on him. However, it distanced itself from Trump after he claimed the 2020 election was stolen due to voter fraud.
Greene criticized the House for passing a Ukraine aid bill. The U.S., an ally to Kyiv, passed a bill with over $60 billion in foreign aid to help Ukraine. Despite resistance from Republicans, the bill passed in a 311-112 vote.
Upon the bill’s passing, Greene said, “This is the sellout of America today… I think every American in this country should be furious.” Former Representative Ken Buck dubbed her “Moscow Marjorie,” accusing her of echoing Russian propaganda.
