Former President Trump on Friday warned of a major war in the Middle East and possibly a “third world war” if he loses the November election. During a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago, Trump stated, “If we win, it’ll be very simple. It’s all going to work out and very quickly. If we don’t, you’re going to end up with major wars in the Middle East and maybe a third world war. You are closer to a third world war right now than at any time since the second world war.”

Trump criticized the current administration’s handling of global conflicts, including the Middle East fighting and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He cited his own administration’s support for Israel, including moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal.

Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump followed his visit to the White House, where he met with President Biden and Vice President Harris. Harris, now the likely Democratic presidential nominee, expressed support for Israel’s right to defend itself but voiced concerns over Palestinian suffering in Gaza.

Trump reiterated his support for Israel and criticized the current situation, stressing the need for the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas.
