Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump issued another sharp warning toward Iran on Thursday, suggesting the country could face devastating consequences if ongoing ceasefire negotiations fail amid continued military tensions in the Middle East.

While speaking with reporters during a tour of renovation projects near the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, Trump said Iran would produce “one big glow” if a peace agreement is not reached quickly. The president did not clarify the exact meaning of the statement, though critics and analysts interpreted the comment as a possible reference to overwhelming military action or strikes against Iranian infrastructure.

Trump’s remarks followed reports of an Iranian attack on three U.S. Navy destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz. In a Truth Social post earlier in the day, Trump claimed the U.S. ships sustained little damage while inflicting “great damage” on Iranian forces in response.

The president said a temporary ceasefire remains in effect but warned Iran that “a lot of pain” would follow if negotiations collapse. Trump has previously ruled out the use of nuclear weapons against Iran but has repeatedly threatened major military retaliation if Iran pursues nuclear capabilities.

The conflict has contributed to rising global energy prices and increased concerns about broader instability in the region. During the appearance, Trump also defended major beautification projects underway in Washington ahead of America’s 250th anniversary celebration.
