Washington, DC — President Donald Trump said he plans to sue author and journalist Michael Wolff, alleging Wolff conspired with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to damage him politically. Trump made the comments Saturday during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One, following the Justice Department’s release of more than 3.5 million additional documents tied to the Epstein investigation.

Trump said he was told by advisers that newly released material shows Wolff worked with Epstein to harm him, adding that the information “absolves” him rather than implicates him. He said he will “certainly” sue Wolff and is also considering legal action against the Epstein estate.

The documents include emails indicating Epstein attempted to facilitate a meeting between Wolff and attorney Ken Starr in 2018, related to discussions about a potential indictment of a sitting president. Wolff has acknowledged relying on Epstein as a source while researching books critical of Trump, including Fire and Fury, but has said he does not recall the context of specific emails released by House Democrats.

The Department of Justice cautioned that the latest Epstein files may contain unverified or false submissions, including sensational claims.
