WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump reversed his position Sunday night, urging House Republicans to vote in favor of releasing all files related to Jeffrey Epstein. The move comes after weeks of intraparty tension and growing GOP support for the transparency measure.

“We have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax,” Trump wrote on social media after returning from Florida, signaling an end to his opposition. His statement followed reports that at least 100 Republicans may support the proposal, which was spearheaded by Representatives Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).

The bill would compel the Department of Justice to release all Epstein-related files, excluding sensitive information about victims or ongoing investigations. Massie said he expects “a veto-proof majority,” while Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) indicated the House will move quickly on the vote.

The reversal follows Trump’s public feud with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), one of four Republicans who signed the discharge petition forcing the vote. Trump recently withdrew his endorsement of Greene, calling her a “traitor.”

Massie framed the coming vote as a test of accountability. “You will have voted to protect pedophiles if you don’t vote to release these files,” he said, warning colleagues about future political consequences.

The measure faces an uncertain path in the Senate, though supporters believe momentum from the House could pressure Republican leaders to act.
