WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video Sunday depicting UFC fighters physically attacking members of the White House press corps while UFC CEO Dana White stands behind the briefing-room podium.
The animated clip, originally posted by an X account and later reposted by Trump on Truth Social, shows reporters asking White questions including whether Trump threatens democracy and about the president’s pronouns. UFC fighters then tackle, restrain or remove the animated journalists. The video ends with Trump looking into the room as several reporters lie on the floor.
The post came one day after Trump publicly offered White the vacant press secretary job and suggested that several UFC fighters join him as assistants to help “defend us against the Lunatic Left.”
White said Saturday he planned to meet with Trump Monday but noted that he already has “a lot of jobs.” He has not publicly accepted the position. Reuters reported that Trump and White have maintained a close relationship for years, with White repeatedly supporting Trump politically.
The video is fictional and AI-generated, and Trump did not explicitly direct anyone to attack journalists. Still, it portrays physical violence against members of the press from inside the White House briefing room, adding another unusual element to the administration’s ongoing search for a permanent press secretary.
