Former President Donald Trump reaffirmed his refusal to debate Vice President Kamala Harris again, after a call from her campaign for a second debate. Trump stated on Truth Social that he “won” their September 10 encounter and sees no need for another round, especially with early voting underway and his claim of a strong poll lead.
Harris’s campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, urged Trump to attend a CNN debate in Atlanta on October 23. Polling from the Cook Political Report shows Harris leading Trump in five key battleground states, though within a narrow margin of 3 percentage points. Despite this, Trump maintains he is ahead nationally.
