Donald Trump expressed his desire for an immediate debate with President Joe Biden during an appearance on “The Dan Bongino Show,” stating, “I’d like to call for, immediately, debates. I’d like to debate him now because we should debate for the good of the country.” As the front-runner for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination, Trump emphasized the importance of debating Biden for the nation’s benefit. Trump has notably skipped every Republican primary debate, ignoring calls from Nikki Haley, his main Republican challenger, for a debate. Similarly, Biden has not participated in any debates with the Democratic contenders challenging him for the nomination.

Trump also criticized Biden for not participating in the traditional Super Bowl interview with the broadcasting television network for the second consecutive year, suggesting, “He can’t do it, because he can’t talk.” The Biden campaign has not responded to these remarks.
