Tim Mellon, a prominent GOP donor, contributed $5 million to the American Values 2024 super PAC supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential run, bringing his total donation to $25 million.
The PAC’s April finances included a $1 million donation from co-founder Mark Gorton and a $2 million refund to Gavin de Becker as part of a “bridge funding” deal.
The Democratic National Committee has questioned the legality of these transactions, suggesting they may be loans. The super PAC’s expenditures for the month included over $100,000 on social media and $31,500 on radio advertising, closing April with $20.8 million. Kennedy’s campaign continues amidst financial and regulatory scrutiny.
