Steve Bannon, former adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, vowed to “take down” Elon Musk, calling him “truly evil” in an interview with Corriere della Sera, highlighted by Mediaite. Musk, a former H-1B visa holder from South Africa, was chosen by Trump to co-lead the “Department of Government Efficiency.”
“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon declared, criticizing Musk’s support for H-1B visas. This work program attracts international talent but divides opinion, with critics arguing it undercuts American wages.
Bannon’s comments extended to Musk’s heritage, labeling South Africans as “the most racist people on Earth” and suggesting Musk return to South Africa. He accused Musk of prioritizing wealth and called him immature, stating, “He has the maturity of a little boy.”
Musk’s influence in Trump’s incoming administration remains uncertain as tensions escalate.
