Springfield, Ohio, has filed a lawsuit against the neo-Nazi group Blood Tribe, alleging the group harassed residents supporting the city’s Haitian community. The suit names leaders Christopher Pohlhaus and Drake Berentz, accusing them of inciting violence and spreading false claims about Haitian immigrants.
The complaint details incidents such as a protest at Springfield’s jazz festival, where members displayed weapons, swastika flags, and chanted Nazi slogans. The city claims the group coordinated a campaign of intimidation, including bomb and death threats.
False claims that Haitian migrants were harming pets fueled tensions, with former President Trump amplifying the allegations during a debate with Kamala Harris. Springfield, home to 60,000 people, has seen an influx of 10,000 Haitians, straining local services. The Anti-Defamation League is providing legal support in the case, which seeks to block further threats and hold Blood Tribe accountable.
Blood Tribe leader Christopher Pohlhaus has expressed support for President Trump. Following Trump’s 2024 election victory, Pohlhaus celebrated by stating, “Thanks Trump. Cheaper gas will make it easier to spread White Power across the whole country.”
