Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) revealed that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has aligned with President-elect Trump’s stance on abortion, marking a shift from his earlier support for abortion rights. Kennedy now agrees the issue should be left to states to decide following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Tuberville said Kennedy committed to backing Trump “100 percent,” adopting Trump’s position, which includes exceptions for the life of the mother, rape, and incest.

Kennedy’s shift reflects discussions with Trump, with Tuberville noting, “He and President Trump have sat down and talked about it,” concluding that states should determine abortion laws through voter input.
