Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) has introduced the Golden Age Act of 2025, a bill that would require all $100 bills to feature President Donald Trump’s face. The proposal aligns with Trump’s assertion that his second term will mark a “Golden Age of America.”
“There has been no one who has done more to bring America into the golden age than President Trump,” Gill said Monday. “Featuring him on the $100 bill is a small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years.”
The legislation, co-sponsored by Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas), would require the Treasury secretary to unveil a preliminary design by Dec. 31, 2026, with all new $100 bills featuring Trump’s image by 2028.
This proposal follows Rep. Joe Wilson’s (R-S.C.) recent announcement of a bill to put Trump’s face on a new $250 bill. However, current U.S. law prohibits living individuals from appearing on currency.
