A new NBC Decision Desk Poll conducted with Survey Monkey reveals that 64% of Americans disapprove of using state funds for Saturday’s military parade in Washington, D.C., commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary and President Trump’s 79th birthday.

The parade will feature 150 vehicles, 50 aircraft, and 6,600 troops. The cost is estimated at $25–$45 million, including potential street damage from tanks. Among Democrats, 88% oppose the funding, joined by 72% of Independents. Support among Republicans is at 68%, with 75% approval among MAGA Republicans.

Only 14% of respondents strongly support the federal spending, while 44% strongly oppose it. Another 20% are somewhat opposed, and 22% somewhat support it.

Critics, including Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), questioned the parade’s costs amid other priorities. A separate AP-NORC poll found 60% of Americans agree the parade is not a good use of funds.
