At the memorial service for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on Sunday, Donald Trump and Elon Musk were seen together publicly for the first time since their falling out earlier this year. The event took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, under heavy security.
Trump and Musk had been close allies before clashing over Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which Musk criticized. The dispute led Trump to suggest Musk’s companies could face canceled federal contracts. Despite the tension, cameras captured the two shaking hands behind bullet-proof glass at the service.
Musk later posted a photo of the handshake on his platform X, writing simply, “For Charlie.” Speaking afterward, Trump confirmed the interaction, saying Musk “came over and said hello,” adding, “We had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship but it was nice that he came over.”
