Elon Musk intensified his feud with Donald Trump Thursday evening by posting an incendiary claim on X alleging the president’s name is in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein files.
“Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk wrote. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
The post comes as Musk and Trump exchange increasingly hostile remarks over the Republican-backed “Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping tax-and-spending package Musk opposes. The rift has grown rapidly, with Musk accusing Trump of “ingratitude” and suggesting he played a decisive role in securing Trump’s 2024 election win.
Trump has dismissed Musk’s critiques, saying the billionaire is “wearing thin” and falsely claiming Musk had full access to the bill before it passed.
Musk’s latest accusation marks a dramatic escalation in the feud and could signal a deeper political break. He has hinted at forming a new political party, asking followers in a poll if it’s time to replace both Republicans and Democrats.
