Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) criticized House Republicans on Wednesday for rebranding President Donald Trump’s flagship tax bill, comparing the messaging change to the backlash over Cracker Barrel’s brief logo update.

“Republicans’ ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ is so unpopular they’re being instructed by Donald Trump to start calling it the ‘working families tax plan,’” Moore wrote on X. “I thought rebranding is woke?”

Trump’s aides recently urged Republicans to shift their messaging by referring to the bill — previously dubbed the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” (OBBB) — as the “Working Families Tax Cut.” Speaker Mike Johnson echoed the change in public statements Wednesday.

Moore’s jab referenced conservative outrage over Cracker Barrel’s decision to remove its “Old Timer” logo — a move the company quickly reversed.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee also blasted the rebrand, calling it a sign that the bill is “a toxic failure” and accusing Republicans of cutting health care to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
