Millions of demonstrators marched in over 2,000 U.S. cities on Saturday in coordinated “No Kings” protests, countering President Donald Trump’s military parade in Washington, D.C., marking the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary and Trump’s 79th birthday.

Organizers say it was the largest single-day protest against Trump’s second term. More than 100,000 protested in Philadelphia, and even small towns like Pentland, Michigan—population 800—saw half the town participate.

Despite event cancellations in Minnesota following the assassination of former House Speaker Melissa Hortman, rallies continued across the state. In Los Angeles, where National Guard and Marines were deployed over immigration raid protests, large crowds marched with “Trump baby” balloons.

Notably, organizers avoided demonstrations in D.C., focusing instead on “decentralized action” nationwide. “We will make action everywhere else the story of America that day,” organizers stated.

President Trump warned of deploying a “very big force” if protests disrupted the parade.
