Hunter Biden is seeking to end his lawsuit against former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler, citing severe financial difficulties, according to a court filing Thursday.

Biden sued Ziegler in 2023, accusing him of violating state and federal laws by creating a searchable database of Biden’s emails and laptop content. However, despite a judge rejecting Ziegler’s motion to dismiss the case, Biden says he can no longer afford to continue litigation.

“Plaintiff has suffered a significant downturn in his income and has significant debt in the millions of dollars range,” his attorneys wrote, adding that a fire in January made his rental home unlivable, further straining his finances.

Biden cited declining sales of his artwork and memoir as reasons for withdrawing the case. He stated that while he previously sold artwork for an average of $50,000 per piece, he recently sold only one piece for $36,000. His book sales have also dropped to one-third of their previous levels.

This follows Biden’s withdrawal of a similar lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, as he continues to face legal and financial challenges.
