Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, was found guilty on Tuesday of three felony charges related to his 2018 handgun purchase. This marks the first time a child of a sitting U.S. president has been convicted in a criminal trial. Despite the conviction, President Biden stated last week that he would not pardon his son.
A jury of six men and six women reached a unanimous verdict after three hours of deliberation. Although Biden faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, legal experts suggest he is more likely to receive a sentence of two years or less, or potentially avoid prison time altogether.
