New York, NY — A new Fox News survey shows declining public confidence in President Donald Trump’s economic leadership, with the poll recording his lowest economic approval rating since 2017. Conducted Nov. 14–17 among 1,005 registered voters, the poll found 61 percent disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy, while 38 percent approve. Overall, 76 percent rated the U.S. economy negatively, up from 67 percent in July.

The findings indicate voters increasingly attribute economic strain to Trump. By a nearly 2-to-1 margin, respondents said Trump is more responsible for current economic conditions than former President Joe Biden. Rising prices remain central to voter dissatisfaction: 60 percent reported grocery costs rose “a lot” in the past year, and households earning under $50,000 reported 79 percent negative financial conditions.

Approval metrics reinforce the trend, with 46 percent saying Trump’s economic policies personally harmed them and only 15 percent reporting they helped. Overall job approval stands at 41 percent, while 58 percent said they disapprove of his performance in his second term.

The poll also signals political crosscurrents. Democratic and Republican Party favorability each registered 39 percent. Among independents, 62 percent blamed Trump for the state of the economy, and even 42 percent of Republicans shared that view. Fox News reports a margin of sampling error of ±3 percentage points.
