Former aide to Vice President Kamala Harris and current MSNBC host, Symone Sanders, criticized Fox News anchor Bret Baier’s handling of Harris’ interview on Wednesday’s Special Report. Sanders argued Baier’s tone was “rude” and that his questions seemed drawn from a “Trump/Vance press release.”

During the interview, Baier repeatedly pressed Harris on immigration, Biden’s mental acuity, and her stance on foreign policy. Sanders praised Harris for staying composed, claiming she “matched his energy” and focused on her purpose for the interview. Harris’ supporters criticized Baier’s aggressive questioning and the use of clips from Donald Trump, but some also praised Baier for his persistence on key issues. Harris acknowledged Baier as “a serious journalist” during the interview.

This was Harris’ first formal sit-down with Fox News, a critical moment as she aims to broaden her appeal ahead of the election.
