Elon Musk mocked Donald Trump early Monday, posting a meme on X showing an “Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter” frozen at zero. “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again,” Musk wrote, intensifying a growing feud with the president.
The jab followed an Axios report on a Justice Department memo that found no evidence Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed officials or kept a “client list,” contradicting widespread conspiracy theories. The memo also reaffirmed Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and indicated no new charges are forthcoming.
Musk has repeatedly accused Trump of being named in sealed Epstein documents, claiming last month that Trump’s name in the files was the “real reason” they’ve been withheld. In response, Trump denied ties to Epstein, stating, “I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island.”
Tensions escalated after Trump threatened to cancel federal contracts with Musk-linked companies and slammed the billionaire’s third-party ambitions as dangerous and chaotic.
