Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has reportedly donated to the America PAC, a super PAC supporting former President Trump’s reelection efforts, according to Bloomberg. This comes months after Musk declared he would not financially back either Trump or President Biden for the upcoming election. However, sources close to the matter revealed Musk’s donation to the PAC.
In March, Musk wrote on his social media platform, X, that he would not donate to any presidential candidates. Despite this, The New York Times reported that Musk met with Trump and Republican donors in Florida to support Trump’s campaign finances. Musk has been increasingly vocal in his support for conservative viewpoints, often criticizing President Biden on X, particularly over union support and immigration policies.
America PAC is required to disclose its list of donors by July 17. This news follows Trump’s significant fundraising surge in May, which helped narrow the financial gap between him and Biden.
