ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard arranged a brief phone call between President Donald Trump and FBI agents involved in a recent raid on a Georgia election facility, according to multiple reports. Sources familiar with the exchange said the call lasted roughly one minute and occurred shortly after federal agents executed a search warrant at an election center in Fulton County.

According to those sources, Trump asked a few general questions and praised the agents’ work, with one person likening the interaction to a motivational pep talk rather than a directive conversation. No evidence has emerged that Trump provided operational guidance or attempted to influence the investigation.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed Monday that Gabbard brokered the call, speaking approvingly of the interaction during a Fox News appearance. Blanche said the president frequently communicates with law enforcement officials and suggested Gabbard was in the area at the time of the raid but not directly involved in the investigation itself.

Gabbard’s presence near the site of the operation drew scrutiny because the Office of the Director of National Intelligence does not oversee domestic election administration. Trump later praised Gabbard publicly, saying she was working to keep elections secure and referencing the court-authorized nature of the Georgia search.

Democratic lawmakers reacted sharply. Sen. Jon Ossoff of Georgia warned that the episode could signal broader efforts to undermine voting rights ahead of upcoming elections, citing Trump’s past attempts to overturn the 2020 results. The FBI has not publicly commented on the call or the status of the investigation.
