The cryptocurrency industry is throwing a high-profile, $1.5 million-per-head fundraiser for President Trump on Monday in Washington, D.C., according to an invitation obtained by Axios. Dubbed the “Crypto and AI Innovators Dinner,” the event will benefit MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump super PAC ramping up efforts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Co-headlining the fundraiser is tech investor David Sacks, a prominent ally of Trump adviser and DOGE chief Elon Musk. The event highlights Trump’s growing alignment with crypto interests, including his co-founding of World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture also promoting a stablecoin amid ongoing White House-led legislation on digital assets.
Trump has already launched an “OFFICIAL TRUMP” meme coin — a move that has sparked bipartisan concern over potential conflicts of interest and the use of presidential power for personal financial gain. He also plans a private dinner for top coin investors.
