President Joe Biden is sticking to his pledge not to pardon his son Hunter, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “No, it’s still no,” Jean-Pierre said when asked if Biden would reconsider his vow following Hunter Biden’s surprise plea related to tax crimes.
Hunter Biden awaits sentencing after a June conviction on gun charges and faces potential prison time for tax crimes. His legal team proposed an Alford plea, which admits no guilt but acknowledges enough evidence for conviction. Biden first made his pledge in June, stating he would “abide by the jury’s decision.”
