President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign raised over $90 million in March, totaling nearly $200 million in funds. On the same day, former President Donald Trump held his first major fundraiser of the general election season, predicted to raise close to $50 million. Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced they had raised $65.6 million in March, with $93.1 million available for April.
Biden’s campaign boasted a first-quarter fundraising total of $187 million, marking the best financial start of any Democratic presidential candidate in history. Meanwhile, Trump continues to raise millions each month, with funds going to his Save America PAC. Despite facing four separate criminal prosecutions, Trump secured the GOP nomination a month ago.
