Adidas and Puma are expected to raise prices on running shoes and apparel in the United States, following Nike’s announcement of up to $10 increases on shoes over $150 due to rising import costs tied to President Trump‘s new tariffs.

Trump has imposed a 10% tariff on all imports and a 30% tariff on goods from China, with Vietnam potentially facing a 46% tariff in July. These pressures are prompting price hikes across the sportswear industry.

“Nike moved first—Adidas and Puma will likely follow,” said UBS analyst Robert Krankowski, noting all brands will be affected. Puma said it is in talks with U.S. partners but hasn’t confirmed a price increase; Adidas did not comment.

Analysts say Adidas’ popular $100–$120 vintage models could withstand hikes, while Puma’s slower U.S. sales may limit flexibility.

Other premium brands like On are also planning U.S. price increases in July, citing market positioning over tariff impacts.
