NEW YORK CITY, NY — State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani (D) holds a 10-point lead over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the race to replace outgoing Mayor Eric Adams, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. Mamdani received 43 percent support among likely voters, while Cuomo garnered 33 percent and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa 14 percent. Six percent of respondents remain undecided.

A previous Quinnipiac survey earlier this month showed Mamdani slightly higher at 46 percent, with Cuomo unchanged and Sliwa at 15 percent. The latest polling average compiled by Decision Desk HQ shows Mamdani maintaining a steady lead at 45 percent to Cuomo’s 31 percent and Sliwa’s 16 percent.

Cuomo recently gained endorsements from Adams and Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.) as moderates attempt to consolidate support. Meanwhile, Mamdani earned backing from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), though Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has not taken a public position.

The Quinnipiac poll, conducted October 23–27 among 911 likely voters, has a 4-point margin of error.
