Atlanta, Georgia — A Georgia man has been arrested after police say he allegedly beheaded a dog and posted an image of the animal on social media.
Jalen Wade, known in the music industry as “Lil Drip” and identified as a Georgia State University graduate, was taken into custody following the discovery of the dog’s remains. The case began in September 2025 when Precious Cody, the dog’s owner, was briefly jailed on a failure-to-appear warrant. After her release, she learned from a neighbor that a man had picked up her dog, claiming he knew her.
Cody filed a police report and searched local shelters but did not learn what happened until Feb. 11, when she was informed her microchipped dog had been found deceased. “Every time I try to close my eyes, I just see her face,” Cody said.
Authorities said the discovery led to an hours-long standoff outside Wade’s home before his arrest. Officials have not publicly disclosed a motive. Cody stated she did not know Wade and had never met him.
The investigation remains ongoing.
