Senator Mitt Romney, a Republican from Utah, said in an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that he would not vote for former President Donald Trump in the November election against President Joe Biden. Romney cited Trump’s foreign policy views and character as his reasons for not supporting him.

According to Romney, the character of a leader is what defines America as a nation, and having a president who lacks character would have a significant impact on the nation’s character. Romney also disagreed with Trump’s foreign policy views and stressed his fundamental policy differences with him.

Additionally, Romney predicted that if the election were held today, Trump might win, but that would result in a dramatic change in the nation’s foreign policy and position in the world. Romney has been one of the most critical senators of the former president and was the first senator to vote to convict a president of his own party during Trump’s first impeachment trial.
