Faith & Freedom, an evangelical advocacy group, is boosting its political spending to $62 million for the 2024 election, aiming to re-elect Donald Trump. This marks a $10 million increase from previous efforts, with plans to distribute 30 million pieces of literature across 125,000 churches, especially in battleground states. Ralph Reed, the group’s overseer and a Trump ally, highlighted this as a historic effort in direct voter contact by a right-leaning organization outside the Republican National Committee. Despite Trump facing legal challenges, the white evangelical community remains a staunch supporter.
The group’s investment reflects Trump’s reliance on external support as he faces a financial shortfall against President Joe Biden. With conservative and pro-Trump groups rallying, Reed acknowledged the challenging financial landscape but remained hopeful, citing Trump’s previous victory despite financial odds. Faith & Freedom’s strategy includes voter registration in key states, mobilizing staff and volunteers, and focusing on evangelical voter turnout. Reed emphasized their unwavering support for Trump, underlining his pro-life stance and the trust he has garnered from religious conservatives.
