A third police officer who responded to January’s riot at the U.S. Capitol building died by suicide last week, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said Monday.

Metropolitan Police Officer Gunther Hashida was found dead in his home Thursday, nearly seven months after he helped respond to the attack on the Capitol, police spokesperson Brianna Burch confirmed to Forbes.

Hashida was an 18-year veteran of D.C.’s local police force, and he belonged to the department’s emergency response team, Burch said.

Hashida is at least the fourth police officer to die after responding to the Capitol riots.
