The Wisconsin Supreme Court has rejected Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s attempt to remove his name from the state’s presidential ballot. Kennedy had filed an appeal after the Wisconsin Elections Commission ruled in August that his name must stay on the ballot, citing state law. Wisconsin law prohibits removing independent candidates who filed nomination papers before the August 6 deadline unless they die.
Kennedy, who suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump, aimed to remove his name in battleground states like Wisconsin and North Carolina, citing potential harm. However, the court ruled that removing his name would cause public harm due to the logistical and financial burden of reprinting ballots.
