Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) stated that most senators view Tulsi Gabbard as a security risk if confirmed as director of national intelligence. Speaking on The View, Warren emphasized concerns about Gabbard overseeing sensitive intelligence, claiming some believe she is influenced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Warren compared Gabbard to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who testified in a separate hearing regarding his financial ties to vaccine lawsuits. She accused Kennedy of profiting from anti-vaccine advocacy, citing a $2.5 million gain from Wisner Baum, a law firm suing pharmaceutical companies.
Despite criticism, former President Donald Trump remains supportive of Gabbard, with a source telling the Washington Examiner that she will be confirmed due to her loyalty to him. Warren reaffirmed her stance against confirming both Gabbard and Kennedy.
