The White House revealed a new “Presidential Walk of Fame” on Wednesday featuring portraits of past U.S. presidents — with one exception. Instead of a traditional portrait of former President Biden, the display includes a gold-framed photo of an autopen machine signing his name.

The autopen, used by presidents from both parties, allows documents to be signed without a manual signature. But Donald Trump and allies have seized on Biden’s use of it to question his mental fitness and whether aides were making decisions in his place. Biden and former aides have rejected those claims, saying he was fully engaged in decision-making during his presidency.

Trump previewed the unusual portrait earlier this month in an interview with The Daily Caller. A spokesperson for Biden did not respond to requests for comment on the display.

The Walk of Fame, located just outside the Oval Office, is part of Trump’s ongoing effort to reshape the White House. Other recent changes include replacing the Rose Garden lawn with a stone patio and commissioning construction of a ballroom near the East Wing.
