Donald Trump‘s approval rating has dropped to 38%, the lowest of his second term, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
The poll shows 54% of registered voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance. His approval has steadily declined since January, when he began his second term with a high of 46%.
Immigration remains Trump’s best-rated issue, with 43% approving and 54% disapproving—though those numbers are down from April. On deportations, approval is now at 40%, with disapproval rising to 56%.
On other issues, Trump’s approval stands at 40% on the economy, 38% on trade, 37% on universities, 35% on the Israel-Hamas conflict, and just 34% on the Russia-Ukraine war.
“As the Russia–Ukraine war grinds through its third year, Americans make it clear they have little appetite for the way the Trump administration is handling the situation,” said Quinnipiac polling analyst Tim Malloy.
The June 5–9 survey of 1,265 registered voters has a margin of error of ±2.8 percentage points.
