President Donald Trump is pushing back against a New York Times report alleging he contributed to a 2003 birthday book honoring convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The book, described as a leather-bound collection of messages from Epstein’s friends and associates for his 50th birthday, allegedly includes Trump’s name and a letter or drawing attributed to him, according to the Times and an earlier Wall Street Journal report.

Trump responded within minutes on Truth Social, calling the Epstein allegations part of a new “scam” designed by “Radical Left Democrats” to distract from his presidency. “They have gone absolutely CRAZY,” he wrote, comparing the story to the “Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax.”

Trump also reiterated his call for Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all grand jury transcripts related to Epstein, insisting the public deserves transparency, but that “people who are innocent should not be hurt.”

Trump and Epstein were reportedly close in the early 2000s before a falling-out in 2004, after which Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. Trump has denied any deeper connection to Epstein and has sued the Wall Street Journal for libel over the birthday book claim.

The Justice Department continues to face bipartisan pressure to disclose more about Epstein’s network and is actively seeking testimony from Ghislaine Maxwell.
